Giacomo Betti is originally from the province of Brescia, but lives and works in Milan. He developed a passion for cinema during his high school years. After a period in London, he graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan and enrolled in the Scuola Civica di Cinema e Televisione. He began collaborating with journalists active in conflict zones: between 2014 and 2016 he worked on reports in Kurdistan, Syria, southern Turkey and on board an army frigate engaged in the Mediterranean. In 2017 he attended a course in Direction of Photography in Rome, and then returned to Milan, where he works as a director of photography and filmmaker.
